What Is The Goal of SmokeWorm.com?

This site will hopefully re-educate you. You have got an image in your mind of what smoking is and why you do it. You should soon realise that the image you have of smoking is totally false - that its benefits are non-existent and that you will be better off as a non-smoker in so many ways.

When you first started smoking, you probably did so for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Lots of people do it - Why would so many people smoke if it is so expensive and there is no pleasure in it?
  • Peer pressure - They didn't actually force you to smoke, but your friends looked grown-up and you wanted to fit in.
  • Role Models - Film stars and famous people smoked and so did other older people that you admired like parents or siblings - if you started smoking you could be more like them.
  • Advertising - Everywhere you looked - billboards, TV sporting events and films all reinforced the idea that smoking was a good idea.

Whatever your reason for starting, you smoked in spite of the cigarette itself. It tasted awful, made you feel sick and was very expensive. And yet you continued. Why? Not because you enjoyed it but because you had been brainwashed by the people and imagery around you that told you that smoking was good. And they managed to do this despite your own senses telling you that there was not one part of the smoking experience that you enjoyed. You actually believed that smoking was a good thing to do despite all of the evidence to the contrary.

If you ask any smoker if they would like to be able to go back in time and not start smoking - the answer would be a definite 'Yes'. But since they know that it will never happen, they are happy to resign themselves to a life of nicotine slavery.

With SmokeWorm.com, I want to un-brainwash you. I want to take your reason for starting to smoke and show you how ridiculous it was. Then I want to break down all of the reasons you have for continuing to smoke explaining why it is simply not giving you what you think it is. But you will need more than just a convincing argument - so I am going to replace each of these reasons for smoking with an equal or better reason for stopping. Each reason will be a genuine benefit that I can guarantee you will receive - and not just the obvious ones of health and money - there will be other physical, tangible benefits that you can enjoy every day.

When you have seen all of this, you will not only be ready to stop, you will want to stop and you will know that you are going to enjoy stopping - so much so that you will be able to turn any negative aspects such as the withdrawal pangs and anxiety into positive feelings. This is because the relief you will have at knowing that you are a non-smoker, will more than outweigh any negative feelings and anxiety in you.

Although the site tries to cover all the angles on smoking that, there are bound to be people who simply cannot be, or refuse to be, convinced that they will enjoy stopping smoking. If you are one of these people, I want to hear from you. You can either go to the bulletin board and post your concerns or email them directly to me (just click on the 'Contact Me' link opposite). On the bulletin board, you will be able to get help and advice from people who have had similar experiences to you. If you email me, I will try to find a solution to your particular problem and if necessary, update the site to reflect your situation - so that others in your position will find the answer straight away. Other than that, it might just be a part of the advice that you have overlooked. Either way I will do my best to help.

But whatever your thoughts are about the site - please let me know. Getting feedback is the only way I will be able to improve SmokeWorm.com.
